IMPRO Transnational Project Management Meeting in Thessaloniki, Greece

Oct 24, 2022

The Inclusive Impro-Theatre project consortium was warmly welcomed in Thessaloniki, Greece by our partners Smart Umbrella and D.E.P.W.T (Directorate of Primary Education of Western Thessaloniki) for the IMPRO Transnational Project Management Meeting.

On the 19th and 20th of October, 2022, the consortium, which consists of partners from Romania, Greece, Ireland, Denmark, and Italy, discussed the current state of the project. Significant progress has been made since the last project management meeting in Dublin, which was organized in June. Moreover, the partners have completed a methodological handbook with about 80 theater techniques focused on school trainers and focus groups with teachers and students, both of which are intended to give participants a deeper understanding of the issues faced by schools.

The goal of IMPRO project is to promote social inclusion in elementary, middle, and high schools through the effective use of improvisational theatre; the dramaturgical approach, in fact, proved to be crucial throughout the project’s first two phases and produced fantastic results.

During the 2-day meeting in Greece, the consortium members were able to make significant decisions on the project’s future and upcoming tasks while being hosted by the Greek partner, Smart Umbrella Management Solutions.
